Alexandra Rose Hospenthal is an emerging and accomplished artist who has already made her mark in the classical performance world. Her classical vocal performance education formally initiated in 2003 both as both a soloist and chorister.

 

Alexandra graduated from the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma WA, in May 2016, receiving a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance with an emphasis in German and the Classics. In July 2018, she earned her Masters in Classical Vocal Performance from the Royal Academy of Music, London, England.

 

Significant awards and roles include “Queen of the Night” Die Zauberflöte, “Olympia” Les Contes d’Hoffman, “Kalypso” opera aria in miniature, “Dame Ein” Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, “Isolier” in Rossini’s opera Le Comte Ory, Cricket from Jonathan Dove’s Pinocchio, Conductor from Jonathan Dove’s Flight, and winner multiple competitions. Previously, she received awards and accolades in several other pre-university competitions at the state and local level.

 

Besides performing, she has made time in the USA and UK to participate in community outreach programs bringing music to those who cannot travel to a performance. She has extensive experience working with children developing and inspiring in them a love and an appreciation of music. She is an accomplished teacher/coach for vocal music and presentation skills needed in public speaking, utilizing her classical training to elevate techniques on speech.

 

Her goal is to bring a new audience into the classical vocal realm utilizing new music composition and composers of this age. This combination serves to bring opera back to the masses and at the forefront of musical enjoyment! She is currently working to establish herself in Central Europe having moved to Switzerland in 2024.
